The improved “Shaper PLUS” is set to win 30% market share in the firming and anti-cellulite battle

The Australia-based Invasis Research & Laboratories is today introducing the new Shaper PLUS body firming and toning serum for the premium market in Thailand, catering to ladies who look for an effective way of battling cellulite and stay beautifully toned. Along with the grand opening of the new product, the company is planning Bt50 million of marketing budget which will be employed in expanding the existing distribution networks to 150 channels countrywide through drug, beauty and health stores with Pancake Kemmanit Jamikorn as the brand’s new presenter. With the strength of the new product and marketing schemes, the company expects to achieve 30% market share in the body firming and toning market by the end of this year.

Pharmacist Monsuda Aramkitphota, Product Manager of Shaper and Shaper PLUS says that “We are looking at the strong growth of the Thai health and beauty products with continuous confidence, especially in the body firming, toning and anti-cellulite creams which last year posted a strong 10% growth of about Bt600 million. With more business opportunities left to be explored in such market, we decided to begin this year with the launch of ‘Shaper PLUS’ – the new and improved firming and toning serum from the classic ‘Shaper’ that can be applied throughout the body such as the upper arms, legs, stomach and hips. This premium-ranged product works well in reducing the appearance of cellulite and cracked skin without the need for massage. The new improved product is twice better and quicker to absorb into the skin layers than the classic formula and suits best for ladies looking for faster-working and more effective product for their beautiful look.”

“This year, we plan to make ‘Shaper PLUS’ more available in Thailand by expanding the existing distribution channels to cover all customer ranges, from premium to premium-mass and those in the middle. Now about 80% of our sales are derived from our call centers, and this year, while maintaining and improving our telemarketing service with Double Impact call center, we will expand more into the pharmacy chains and recognizable health and beauty stores throughout the country such as Watsons, Boots and Siam Drugs which should increase our points of sales up to 150 places countrywide,” says Pharmacist Monsuda

Shaper now enjoys about 300,000 customers, 90% are women, with high purchasing power, such as celebrities, stars, models and businesspeople.

Pharmacist Monsuda says that “This year, the company is now allocating about Bt50 million marketing budget to execute a comprehensive marketing scheme including sales-promoting activities, launching events and introduction of new brand’s presenter – Pancake Kemnij Jamikorn – a leading celebrity. Shaper is now available in 2 special New Year value packages of 1. Shaper PLUS Limited Edition, with one 150ml Shaper PLUS, one 75ml Shaper PLUS at a special price of Bt3,250 (from Bt5,500) in a special beautiful gift box and 2. A special 50% discount for Shaper Classic from today – 28 February 2010.

Invasis Research & Laboratories expects this year’s sales to reach Bt250 million, Bt180 million of which will come from the sales of Shaper, making a 50% growth that should push the product to be no. 1 in the market. The company also expects that the introduction of the new improved Shaper PLUS should help boosting Shaper product to earn a 30% market share in the body firming and toning market by the end of this year.

Shaper PLUS is available in 15ml for Bt3,250 and Bt75ml at Bt2,250. Shaper Classic is available for Bt2,950 in 150ml and Bt1,950 in 75ml.
